Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to Term 4. I hope you and your family enjoyed a happy two weeks together. This is a very busy term with a lot of exciting activities and events on. A suggestion may be to have the school calendar on the fridge so that you can see at a glance, the events each week.

Over the holidays our school was abuzz with activity. The vegetable garden fence was erected and the land was cleared. Five classrooms had new carpet laid and the inside of one building was repainted. The administration demountable was brought in. The library demountable will ar-rive next weekend. These two demountable buildings will house the admin staff and the library whilst the major works go ahead next year.

I have been speaking with the council regarding some ideas for safer drop offs and pickups – especially in Salamander Street. I will be having further meetings with the council and RMS to hopefully make a plan that will enable a safer environment. I encourage all families to use Curacao Street when dropping off or picking up children as parking is so much easier and safer.

All the very best to Phoenix Duggan who is representing our school at State Athletics next week. We wish Phoenix all the best.

Our school is holding the second and last fundraiser for the school year to raise funds for the school bus. It is a Golf Day this Sunday at Coffs Harbour Golf Club. It’s not too late to enter a team. Great prizes are up for grabs. Thanks to the many families who are able to join us on the day. For more information please contact the Coffs Harbour Golf Club.

Looking forward to meeting our new Kindergarten Parents at our 2018 Kindergarten Expo tomorrow morning.

Tonight is the P&C meeting. It begins at 6pm in the school staffroom. I hope you can make it.

Have a great week, Leonie
