CAPPUCCINOA cappuccino is an Italian coffee drink which is prepared with espresso, hot milk and milk foam. The name comes from the Capuchin friars, referring to the colour of their habits, very similar to the colour of the beverage when milk is added in small portion to dark coffee.

'Cappuccino' originated as the coffee beverage "Kapuziner" in the Viennese coffee houses in the 1700s.Cappuccino as we write it today (in Italian) is first mentioned in northern Italy in the 1930s, and photographs from that time shows the drink to resemble a coffee topped with cream sprinkled with chocolate.
