She'll share the techniques she uses on her own #coloringquilts for color blending, paint application, shading and layering. She'll also present strategies for dealing with "oopsies" and how to heat set the finished quilt so it can be machine washable. !

Students will learn to feel confident about using textile paints to color their own fabric and quilted projects. Bring to Class: • Paint brushes - I recommend artist quality acrylic paintbrushes. One small round

brush and one small flat brush. I use a Princeton Series 6100 Synthetic Bristle Round Size 2/0 and a Blick Scholastic Wonder White Filbert Size 8 (Both available from Blicks Art Supply). A smaller sized more rigid synthetic brush is important for the techniques outlined in this class.

• Water container for brushes • Paper Towel(s) • Paint Tray - I use a metal watercolor paint tray, but you can also purchase plastic

and porcelain paint trays (or even use a plastic/styrofoam egg carton.) You want at least 6 paint wells for color blending.
