Hello everyone. I am Luisa Maria Cano. I belong to group 19 in the course Thechnology in Teching English as a Foreign language at UNAD. So I am going to show you the activity Ive designed for the activity 10 according to the activity guide. Ll the activities Ive developed in this lesson plan include conversation and debates. Also questions and answers related to the students personal experiences. This tasks will also allow us to work on the 4 language skills in speaking, reading, listening and writing.1Students characterizationGoal: To strength the Present Simple use to describe the own context ( situations)and to create stories or descriptive texts.Students learning needs: To ask questions properly using Do/Does according to the noun.To be able to answer to questions about their context with the proper structure.To distinguish between affirmative/interrogative and negative sentences.

Lets start with the students caractheriztion.The goal we have with this activity is .

2Stage 1Warm UPStudents to share about their hobbies and daily activities:What do you do after school?What do you like to eat?Do you play soccer?Does your father work at night?What do you like to do on the weekends? Do watch TV every day?Tell us about things you do every morning

So the class would start with a warm up/ Students would share about..Some students may answer:After school I go home and I have lunch. Then I go to the libraryI love chocolatesNo, I dont play soccer but I like basquetbolI wake up and have breakfastI come to school.3Stages 2 and 3Introduction and PresentationAndres love chocolate

Camila goes to her violin class on Saturdays

Juan play soccer and Andres plays basquetbol

Mara likes painting

Camila watch TV every day

From the previous stage. The teacher will built some sentences introducing mistakes, and students have to make them right.for example: The correct form for the verb is .4lovesCorrectplaysCorrectCorrect

We can see some changes in the sentence structure when we are talking in the simple present tense.To make this tense in affirmative sentences, lets say when you want to talk aout things someone ussually does, the verb in thhis case changes. This happens always for he,she or it and it depends on the words. 5

For asking questions in the simple present tense we use do or does depending on the noun.For the third person : She, He, it we use does, for the rest I,You,We they we use does. When you are asking questions in simple present never change the verb. Explain the activityThey will have to write down the question before they go to find someone for exampleAfter filling out the chart, students will share the results and again will be using the present simple as the subject will change.\7Stage 5Evaluation

For the evaluation, students will practice the simple present writing a descriptive text or a story.They will be given a picture from a magazine or newspaper or book and they will individually describe the picture using only simple present sentences. They will assign the names to the characters. Every day I get homme at 3 oclock. my grandmother drink coffee and the dog sleeps for 2 hours. My uncle carlos puts more chocollate in the cup and the baby plays with a ball on the couch. 8Stage 6ApplicationA neighbor child finds a $20 bill close to your house door and gives it to you. No one claims it in the next few days. Do you give the money back to the child or do you keep it?

A very close friend asks you to hide something he stole in your home until the following day. What would you say?

This stage is mostly a speaking excersice.Students will be motivated to participate and express their thoughts about different situations(for the first one they can say I give it back. I keep it.I tell my mom about it. I say no
