Financial Aid

Our financial advisors are here to advise you, to help you determine your application eligibility, and to work with you to help you secure funds before starting your program.

Government Student LoansThe Government of Alberta has funded a plan to provide loans to qualified full-time students. Although the type and amount of assistance usually varies based on individual circumstances, government student loans make sure every qualified student receives financial aid for his/her education.

If you choose to pay for your education through student loans, it is our policy to apply all loan payments toward the tuition balance until these costs are paid.

Student Lines of CreditStudent Lines of Credit are different from traditional loans as they allow you to borrow money as per your need with interest being charged only on the amount used. Most major banking institutions offer student lines of credit. Eligibility criteria (e.g. credit rating, net worth etc.), the amount lent, and the rate at which it is lent will vary from institution to institution.

Tuition

Tuition costs can be an important factor when deciding on which college to attend. ABM College continues to ensure that our tuition costs remain among the most affordable. Students are informed about the total fees related to the program during the admissions process. Program costs include: charges for tuition, registration, instruction, course material, equipment, materials and student services.

Tuition may be paid through studentloan disbursements or by cash, cheque, Interac or Visa.


Admission Process

Fill Out The ABM College Admissions FormShortly after your informational meeting with an ABM College representative you will be required to fill out our admissions form. This one page form allows us to review your educational and career history.

Complete The ABM College Entrance ExamABM College requires potential students to complete the ABM College entrance exam. This exam helps us to identify your interests, abilities and talents. ABM College bases student admission on test results.

Interview With Our Admissions CounsellorThis interview is an information gathering session. The ABM admissions counsellor will have the opportunity to learn more about you (beyond what is reflected in the entrance exam) and you will have the opportunity to learn more about ABM College’s student-oriented services and academic environment.

Accounting and PayrollFrom payroll fundamentals and compliance legislation to financial accounting, this program provides students with the necessary skill set to keep records of accounts, maintain a complete set of books, and verify financial transactions.

Business AdministrationThe business administration program at ABM College is designed to provide you with a firm foundation of business principles and the right skill set to improve your career options.

Computer Aided Drafter (CAD)Create solutions to challenges by designing schematics and technical drawings that incorporate the input of engineers, architects, and surveyors that specify dimensions, codes, materials, and production methods.

EstheticsFrom nail care, facials, waxing, and microdermabrasion, to chemical peels, cosmetic applications, product knowledge, and body treatments. Get the training you need to define yourself in the beauty industry.

First Aid TrainingWork safely and be prepared. Our First Aid, CPR, and AED courses are valid for three years and meet the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Work Safe Alberta.
