I developed a Web Application named “ College Monitoring System” with my team mates.

Necessary resources like software's, development tools etc. was provided by Mapple for the completion of project.

ABOUT INDUSTRIAL TRAINING

Duration of training was 45 days

Next 20 days :- Project Assignment and implementation of knowledge with available resource and integration of database (as back hand).

Next 10 days :- Concepts & Deeply Learning About the Technology.

First 10 days :- Deep introduction of language to be used (as a front hand) for the completion of project.

Last 5 days :- Project Submission and report generation.

LANGUAGE SPECIFICATION

FRONT END :- HTML, JSP.

Java Server Pages (JSP) is a java based technology that simplifies the process of developing dynamic web-sites. With JSP , web-designers and developers can incorporate dynamic elements into web pages using embedded Java simple mark-up tags.

THE ARCHITECTURE OF JAVA MVC APPLICATION(MODEL VIEW CONTROLLER APPLICATION)

Model –contains all of an application’s logic that is not contained in a View or Controller. This includes all of an application’s validation logic, business logic, and data access logic.

View – An MVC view contains HTML markup and view logic.

Controller – An MVC controller contains control-flow logic. An MVC controller interacts with MVC Models and Views to control the flow of application execution.

“College Monitoring System” is a project, to reduce the paper work of an engineering college, which has different modules namely:• Admin.• HOD.•Faculty•Student.

The basic aim of this project is to make a campus an “e-campus”

INTRODUCTION

The Admin module is used by the Director of the college. Admin has the responsibility to manipulate the records of following type of users.

• HOD• Faculty• Student

Functions listed under HOD module are:

• View academic test reports.

• Application submitted by students for leave or any other issues are seen by him.

• Allocating and reallocating subjects to be taught to faculties.• Responsible for setting faculty schedule.

As a faculty user has the following roles.

• Setting the students daily attendance on the basis of subjects.• Submitting the student reports to ADMIN and HOD.• Submitting their daily schedule report.• Scheduling the online test of students.• Can view the marks scored by a student in test.

FACULTY MODULE

Students can do the following things with their accounts.

• Can see their daily attendances.• If they need a leave they can send the leave application to HOD.• They can view their curriculum.• They can view their time- table.• Can edit their profile details. etc.
