The College of Agricultural Engineering, Jabalpur was established in the JawahralalNehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya (JNKVV) in the year 1967. The campus lies at JNKVVheadquarter situated nearAdhartal in Jabalpur on the National Highway NH7. It is situatedinAgro climatic Zone IV known as Kymore Plateau and Satpura Hills.

To impart education and entrepreneurial skills in engineering; design, development,manufacturing and operation of equipment and technologies of farm operations forcrop production, sustainable utilization and management of land and waterresources, processing and value addition and efficient use of agricultural inputs andnatural resources including different forms of energy in agriculture.

Complete data on weather parameterscon ta in i ng max imum and min imumtemperatures, and rainfall was collected of allthe agro-climatic zones of M.P. and wasanalyzed with previous years to assesschanges from normal on a long-term basis.Last October-early November was foundsuitable time for chickpea planting with desichickpea cultivars like JG 315, or JG 11.For soybean, JS 97-52 is a good cultivar with planting date from Mid June to first weekof July.Occurrence of insects is related with weather parameters.

Thirty nine students were selected in GATE and got admissions in different IITs andNITs of the country for higher studies.Students participated in “Youth Festival” of JNKVV and on the basis of different eventsperformance awarded as “Shrestha Mahavidyalay”.
