COLLEGE/TEENS
PURSUIT is the revamped, refocused college ministry at the Belpre
Church led by Brett Hower. PURSUIT will not be meeting tonight or
Wednesday evening due to Thanksgiving break.
We will resume on Sun. evening, Dec. 1 at 6:00 p.m. at the
Stevenson’s home and again on Wed., Dec. 4 for our regular study.
TEENS will not be meeting this evening.
MINISTRY MEETINGS
Connections
Connections team members will meet today in the coffee room
following services.
Young At Heart
Due to a lack of participation, our trip to Cabela’s and to see the
Christmas lights in Wheeling on Dec. 5 has been cancelled.
Courage to Change
The room was packed. There were chairs around the walls and
people sitting in the hallway to listen to Wayne Smith the Service
Coordinator for the New Vision recovery program at Fairfield
Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio. There were 34 in attendance
which included local law enforcement, mental health providers, the
media and members of the Parkersburg and Belpre communities.
Mr. Smith explained about the rehabilitation program that is offered
to people struggling with trying to get off drugs and or alcohol. He
explained there just needs to be four rooms with three nurses and
one doctor who are trained to deal with the effects of withdraw
symptoms and the process of healing those with one or more
addictions. Mr. Smith told his story of recovery and how it started
with just one police officer who said he had faith in him. He said it
wasn’t a preacher or friend, or a family member, but a policeman
that told him he was worth it and he had faith in him. He gave the
statistics of the amount of drug use in the United States and the
need for a facility to help addicts in the Marietta, Belpre,
Parkersburg area. Mr. Smith did a wonderful job of presenting the
facts about addiction, the struggle to recover, and the need for
more facilities, especially in our area, to help addicts recover from
their addictions, get clean and become contributing members of our
communities.
Love in Action
We will be having "Undie Sunday's" on December 1 and 8. Please
see the enclosed insert today for more details on this. We are still
in need of instant potatoes for the BAM holiday boxes. This past
week we also made a monetary donation to "Healing Hands" to
assist with the help in the Phillipines. Our pantry shelves continue
to overflow with God's blessings. We are certain all of this will be
beneficial during the holiday season. We hope to give clothing this
year from "Undie Sunday" to each of our W/E children along with at
least one gift. If you know of others who are in need of assistance,
we will take a few more names. More details on this next week.
Happy Thanksgiving to all our church family! We are so greatly
blessed by our mighty God! Christ has told us in Matt 10:42 that "
Whoever gives a cup of cold water to the little ones....will not loose
his reward." Thank you all for sharing a cup of water and more to
those in need. We pray we will glorify God through this ministry.

Hello and Welcome,
We are so glad that you have joined us today for the finale of the Belpre Youth Rally. First off, if you are visiting just for today, we are so glad that you are here and hope you will come back again.
To those that have attended this rally, thanks for joining us and we hope that you and your teens have been blessed. Our goal this year was for you to experience the wonder of God in our main sessions and to learn about the "ones" of Ephesians 4 in our classes that unite us in Christ. We pray that you all will have a safe trip home.
For our members, thanks for all of the ways you support this rally. Thank you for your donations, time, and most importantly your prayers. God has always and will continue to work through this event. We serve a wonderful God!
Now, if you are reading this during services, put down the bulletin and join us in worship!
Thanks again! -Travis and the Belpre Youth Rally Planning Team-
Sermon Notes:
On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along
between Samaria and Galilee. And as he entered a
village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a
distance and lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus,
Master, have mercy on us.” When he saw them
he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the
priests.” And as they went they were cleansed.
Then one of them, when he saw that he was
healed, turned back, praising God with a loud
voice; and he fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving
him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus
answered, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are
the nine? Was no one found to return and give
praise to God except this foreigner?” And he said
to him, “Rise and go your way; your faith has
made you well.”
~Luke 17:11-19
