Handmade Games
The kids in colonial times made handmade games for fun.
Some of the games were Whirligigs, Ninepins, Boot toss, Blockade and many more.
Recreational Games:
Kids would play recreational games like boot toss, 9 pins, and rolling the hoop. They would play to entertain themselves.
TheaterTheater was very entertaining for everyone. They did theater when they had free time. They didn't get to put on shows a lot because they needed to work all day and when they had free time this is what they did.
Recreational Games
Colonial people played with wooden stilts to get better balance.They played it whenever they had time. Kids and adults loved this game
Chores and Riddles
The kids in colonial times would play games during their chores because they wanted their chores to be more fun.
Some of the games they would play during their chores were riddles. They would have contests about who would finish their jobs first and who could card the most wool.
Skill
A lot of colonial children made their own games that taught them skills. Some examples are puzzles and boot toss.
Handmade games
Kids in colonial times didn't have Wiis, iPads, iPods, or Mancala. Instead they made their own games, like whirligigs, nine pin, cup ball and much more.
Chores and riddles
In colonial times, children made up games to make doing chores more fun. Children also told lots of riddles and sang nursery rhymes.
Theatre and music
In colonial times the children would play music to entertain themselves. They sang church music, army music and put on plays in the town.
