Since 2013, Kempe has partnered with the Colorado Department of Human Services to create and launch the Child Welfare Training System (CWTS) - the first professional development learning management system of its kind in Colorado.
WHAT HAS BEEN DONE
• Developed and launched an online Mandatory Reporter Training
• Launched a web-based training platform as part of the trainingcurriculum to better prepare caseworkers and supervisors
• Launched Colorado’s new regionally based Caseworker Academy thatincludes problem-based learning methods and practice simulation
• Launched New Supervisor Academy for those taking on a supervisorrole for the first time in Colorado’s child welfare system
• Provided a menu of coaching services as a part of Colorado’s ChildWelfare Training System
