Colourthane is an ultra-premium quality, two-pack polyurethane system designed to meet the high demands of the interior furniture market. Colourthane is available in a variety of finishes and is ideal for domestic or commercial kitchens, bathrooms, office furniture, shop fit-outs or for any other application that requires a highly durable coating.

The Colourthane range consists of:

Colourthane S-Series- a polyester satin offering a silky and highly functional finish. Available in a full colour offer in 30% satin and clear finish in gloss, 30% satin or 50% high satin. In addition, clear finishes may be blended to achieve intermediate gloss levels.

Colourthane C-Series- an acrylic high gloss polyurethane offering a crisp clean finish with intense depth of image. Available in a full colour offer, coarse and fine metallics and gloss clear.

A range of curing agents and thinners are available allowing a quality finish to be achieved under a wide variety of application methods and climates. To further complement the Colourthane range a variety of primers are available to ensure optimum adhesion, system performance and durability.

Elegant high quality finishColourthane produces a premium quality smooth finish that will enhance the appearance of furniture in both domestic and commercial environments. The satin finish is sophisticated and elegant and will create warmth in both workspaces and domestic kitchens and bathrooms. The subdued gloss level has a presence that does not overpower its surroundings. In contrast, the gloss finish will make an impact. The crisp, clean finish will be a feature wherever it is used, making it ideal for use in commercial applications when you want to be noticed, or to achieve sleek and modern kitchens and bathrooms.

Extensive Colour OfferColourthane delivers excellent colour reproduction through an intermix tinting system. Colourthane provides the flexibility to match almost any colour including modern laminates, modern forecast colours and competitors’ colour ranges. In addition, the Wattyl Colour Designer® colour palette offers a modern range of colours creating synergy between broad wall and furniture finishes. To date, over 3000 colours are available in the Colourthane range with new colours added regularly.

Colourthane Reducers

• Available in fast, standard, slow and extra slow (Thinner L748)

• Ensures an excellent finish when the correct reducer/ curing agent combination is utilised for the required ambient conditions and project type

• Slower solvency rates are ideal for maintaining a wet edge in warmer climates or when painting large items

Product Guide

Tough and FunctionalColourthane is extremely durable and resistant to the harsh treatment expected in both domestic and commercial environments. Colourthane is resistant to splash and spillage of common household chemicals such as nail polish remover, vegetable oil and alcoholic beverages. Colourthane is also highly resistant to water whitening, heat and abrasion making it ideal for kitchen cabinets, bench tops and bathrooms.

VersatileThe Colourthane system offers a variety of curing agents, reducers and primers allowing you to customise the product combination for any job. Colourthane can be applied under a wide variety of ambient conditions and working environments.
