Has your child participated in Early Childhood Screening? In Minnesota, all children are required to have a health and developmental screening before entering kindergarten in a public school. Screening should be completed when a child turns three years old and is recommended between the ages of three and four. Your child’s development, health vision* and hearing will be assessed and the results will be reviewed with the parents or guardians. Suggestions or referrals for follow-up will be made when appropriate. Early Childhood Screening is FREE! To schedule your child’s screening appointment please call 763-528-4517. Th e dates below are the dates Early Childhood Screening will be held.

Th ursday and Friday, Jan. 7 and 8, 2016 Th ursday and Friday, April 7 and 8, 2016 Th ursday and Friday, Feb. 11 and 12, 2016 Monday and Tuesday, May 16 and 17, 2016Th ursday and Friday, March 10 and 11, 2016

*Early childhood developmental screening helps a school district identify children who may benefi t from district and community resources available to help in their development. Early childhood developmental screening includes a vision screening that helps detect potential eye problems but is not a substitute for a comprehensive eye exam.
