Objective In the increasingly fierce market competition, human efficiency plays a key role in plant economics. In a diversified industry like cement manufacturing, efficiency is a direct reflection not only of the technical knowledge of a person's own particular profession  but  also  of  his  sound  knowledge  of  other  fields  incorporated  in  the industry.  ASEC  Cement  Manufacturing  Course  (ACMC)  provides  for  a comprehensive  view  of  the  scientific  theoretical  bases  of  the  cement manufacturing; a strong emphasis is given to material processes inter‐relation. 

Participants ACMC,  a  five‐week  course,  addresses  Engineers,  Chemists  and  Geologists  with some years of practical experience and who have not  received  formal  training  in Cement  Manufacturing.  It  also  addresses  those  who  like  to  refresh  up  their knowledge and widen up  their views. ACMC  is prepared  to give professionals of different specialization a wider scope of various phases of process and keep them up  to  date with  the  state‐of‐the‐art  technology  in  the  various  fields  of  Cement Industry.

Objectives: The  course  explores  different  maintenance  challenges  presented  by  cement factories  ,  this  course  training  provides  trainees  with  the  necessary  skills  to perform  mechanical  maintenance,  including  the  removal  and  replacement  of equipment  (pumps,  gearboxes,  motors  and  power  transmission  systems)  and identification and rectification of bearing  faults within these systems., dependent on  their  scale,  location, number of  lines operated  and  vintage. Also  the ways  in which maintenance will be judged, not only from the availability of the equipment and the costs of maintenance, but also from the overall equipment effectiveness.

Breakdowns  in electrical equipment may  result  in plant shutdowns. Maintenance of motors, motor  starters and  switchgears will  result  in  increased  lifetime of  the equipment and improved machine availability. It will also contribute to minimizing energy consumption. Thus, training of personnel enhances capabilities  in the area of proper maintenance and also boosts morale/motivation, which  is essential  for the plant's productivity
