COMFORT PACKS
Over 1,100 children in WA have to leave home every year as a result of abuse, neglect or other crisis situations
When a child is a victim of crime, neglect or involved in a traumatic situation such as a road accident, they often cannot go home to a safe environment. To care for these children, the Constable Care Child Safety Foundation (CCCSF) provide a gender and age-specific Comfort Pack filled with essential items such as pyjamas, dental kit, blanket, underwear and teddy bear.
Constable Care provides these packs to front-line caregivers and emergency service workers to make life a little more comfortable for these children at a really difficult time. Notable teams we supply include The Child Abuse Task Force, Child Abuse Interview Unit, Major Crash Unit, Domestic Violence Teams and social workers. The caregivers use the comfort packs as a way to provide immediate, practical care, and to also build trust, rapport and establish a communication pathway in order to help the child.
