Description of activity

At our school operates a lab of Creative Writing. The students exercise

on writing stories. The certain activity is a work of the sixth class

students.

The students wrote a story. Then they agreed to illustrate it in the form

of a comic. They were taken pictures which were worked on Movie

Maker so as to compose a presentation.

The students paintings were photographed, worked on the Movie

Maker, was added music and a video was made that was uploaded

on Youtu Be Channel of the School.

I have Very Good knowledge on ICT but I spend enough time on

studying ways on utilizing software of computers.

Teaching

The students talked at the Lab of Creative Writing about the topic and

expressed a variety of opinions. They gave personal texts. All

together they decided to show in a form of comic one of the texts.

TIME :The completion of the comic in video on Movie Maker lasted 2

teaching hours.

PROCESS: The students took pictures of the squares from the

paintings of their classmates who showed in a better way the

meanings of the story. The photos were saved on a computer file.

The students turned on the development of the photos with Movie

Maker. They pyt the pictures in a row, they write the complementary

texts, they added music and uploaded the video to Youtu Be.

Comparison

The use of software (educational and if presentation) makes lessons

more interesting because the computers environment is familiar with the

students.

The development of software in teaching multiplies the understanding of

the teaching object as the students are creators.

The students are satisfied because they produce something new which

has an opportunity of publishing.

The produced work on the computer the students can share with a big

audience.

The use of the software takes place in a team and cooperative

environment and skills necessary for the citizen of the 21st century are

cultivated.

Assessment

I develop software of ICT with the students as user for the

understanding of knowledge and the assessment of teaching and I

believe that using them as complementary tools in teaching they

make it more effective and they give more quality.

The activity achieved its goal because the students suggested and took

over the responsibility to create presentations on Movie Maker from

other project.

The teachers’ school -after given a presentation by the students -

understood that Movie Maker is an easy and impressive application

and they will utilize it in the projects they materialize.

The children were happy making something different and satisfied

because other could see their work.

Further Comments

The Movie Maker is a easy to use for the students which they can

explore by themselves and produce their own work on it.

The production of a video on the Movie Maker is completed in a small

time space, e.x. 2 teaching hours.

The ICT combine the traditional and the modern and their use make

teaching excellent.

The use of educational software cultivates cognitive skills of the

students as it builds new knowledge.

The pedagogy of teaching multiliteracies ( digital, social) is closely

coordinated with the cultivation of the 21th century skills.
