As I am writing this, Ive just heard the great news that we will be returning to face to face teaching on Friday 11th June - just prior to the long weekend and will hopefully remain that way for the final two weeks of Term 2. The large number of students we have had online has been a great way to stay connected. I know that our staff have been extremely grateful to see our students each day and have been rapt at being able to support and guide their remote learning. Please look out for further communication about our return to face to face learning and teaching. A few tips to support positive mental health: ¨ Prioritise sleep to support mental and emotional wellbeing. ¨ Exercise and eat healthy—it helps to boost our mood. ¨ Stay in touch and catch up with friends and loved ones. ¨ Make time to do things that bring joy ¨ Practise positive self-talk and remind ourselves and our children that we are not alone. It remains a challenging time for many in our community. Please contact us at school to see how we may be able to support you. Postponed Activities Unfortunately due to the circuit breaker lockdown a number of school activities have been postponed. I know this will disappoint students across the school, but we are working hard to reschedule these special events: PTO

The Cycle of a Raindrop By Millabell

Emma woke up. Yes, my name is Emma, and this is my sis-ter Anna. We live in a white fluffy cloud, soft as cotton wool. Suddenly, the cloud began to shake. We knew what that meant. We began to fall. Drip...drop...drip...drop. We needed to land, so Anna and I fell into a big lake. We were in the lake. Getting deeper and deeper. We could not see the bottom. We were so scared that we thought we would not come back up. We went even deeper and deeper. It got as dark as the night sky.

But then all a sudden, we came back up. We came flying out of the water. Not heavy like water but misty like vapour. At that moment we realised we had become vapour. We went up and up and up into the sky. There was not a drop of water anymore. All the drops were vapour now. Suddenly there was no more rain in the area. There was only vapour rising to the clouds.

All the vapour went up into the sky and came together to make a big soft cloud. It was so amazing! You could see everything.....THE SKY WAS AS BLUE AS THE OCEAN!!!

We were so happy up here together and happy not to be in the dark anymore. We were so proud of ourselves for getting through this so well. We were as brave as a fierce bear in a cave. The day had ended, and we went to bed. Good night Emma. Good night Anna.

to download! The app allows us to deliver information and notices directly to your phone. We encourage all families to install the new app and stay in touch with the latest news and information regarding your child’s education. You will then need to wait a short time to get the app unlocked. You will be notified when the app is unlocked and ready to use. You will also be able to remove the classes that are not relevant to you by swiping left on the grade’s that you don’t need and remove them so that you don’t receive notifications for other grade’s.
