HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
1. Present yourself for membership during any worship service
when the invitation is given.

• Profession of faith and believer’s baptism by immersion: If you
have never received Jesus as Savior and Lord and/or never
publicly confessed Him, you will be given the opportunity to
do so.
• Transfer membership from another Southern Baptist Church.
• By statement of faith: If you have previously made a

3. Attend West Conroe Membership Class This happens on the first
Sunday of every month at 9:30am in HomePointe. You will hear

Worship 8:00 am features time-honored hymns with piano, organ,
and choir. 11:00 am features the Celebration Choir, Praise Team and
Band.
Sunday School is available for preschoolers, children, students and
adults at 9:30am.
Wednesday Discipleship Family meal begins at 5:00pm followed by
activities for preschool, children, students and adults at 6:30pm.

Happy 2015!
You know you are getting old when you are living during
the years that they used to make movies about. I can just
see the title now 40 years ago, “2015 – After Earth”! It’s
hard to believe it is 2015 when the Y2K scare seemed like
week before last, but here we are. I am excited because
this is the “day the Lord has made” and we will rejoice and
be glad in it! I know right now that God has wonderful and
marvelous plans for West Conroe.
The State of the Church in 2015
Each year I begin with a “state of the church” message,
and today is no different, although I will tell you that I share
this message with a heightened sense of excitement. We
will celebrate some highlights of how God has used West
Conroe in the last 12 months. I also want to unveil
something that we have been hinting about for the last
several weeks. It will be our overarching emphasis for this
year. We call it “Church on Fire.” It will be an emphasis on
evangelism strategy, prayer, and a vision to position West
Conroe to increase its impact on this community for the
next 20 years. I can’t wait to share with you – “Church on
Fire”!
Brett Connolly Ordination
We will be having an ordination for Brett this afternoon at
3pm in the Chapel. All ordained ministers and deacons
are invited to attend the ordination council and interview
at 2pm in the Mt. Sinai room. We will have a reception for
Brett and Mackey in the Garden Room following the
service.
MUSIC MINISTRY
• STUDENT CHOIR KICKS OFF TODAY We will be meeting in
the SMB from 5-6pm. See you there!
• KIDS WORSHIP ARTS MEETING Today at 5pm in the Chapel.

PRESCHOOL & CHILDREN
• BABY DEDICATION is Jan. 11, 2015 in both services. For

Christ! We are still in need of co-hosts & people to provide

CHURCH NEWS
• MEMBERSHIP CLASS will resume the first Sunday in
February.
ADULT MINISTRY
• A NIGHT OF ILLUSION & TRUTH with illusionist Lyndy Phillips &
Tim Ramsey. Friday, Feb. 13th 2015 at 6:30pm in the
Worship Center. Tickets are $7 each & include
admittance, a meal & childcare. Tickets are on sale
today in The Crossing.
MISSIONS & DISCIPLESHIP
• MINISTRY LUNCHEON January 18th at noon after the 2nd
service. Three ministries will be highlighted. If you would
like information about any of them or would like to be a
part, please attend! A light lunch will be served.
*Nehemiah Ministry - A new ministry that will help meet
“handy man” needs of the members of the church &
possibly others.
*Transportation Ministry - Maintains all of our vehicles
throughout the year.
*Golf Cart Ministry - Ministers to members & guests on
Sunday mornings & other service times by providing
transportation around the campus.
