“Nicolae Bălcescu” Land Forces Academy has the pleasure and honor of inviting you to the
European Union Military Academies Commandants’ Seminar (EUMACS) 2019, which will
be held in Sibiu on 12 – 14 (15) June 2019.
The event includes presentations/debates/latest information focused mainly on the improvement
of international cooperation among higher education military institutions.
Moreover, the participants are invited to attend the cultural and social activities mentioned in the
schedule that you can find attached and also take part in the celebration of the LFA’s Day and the
International Scientific Conference – The Knowledge Based Organization 2019 .
The participants in the event are kindly asked to fill in the application form (in the attachment or
available at http://www.emilyo.eu/node/878) and send it by e-mail to the e-mail address:

You can also find attached further details and practical information about the event concerning

“Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy
1. Dates and Location
Participants are commanders / representatives of higher education military institutions who are willing to take part at the „EUROPEAN UNION MILITARY ACADEMIES COMMANDANTS’ SEMINAR – EUMACS 2019, organized by “Nicolae Balcescu“ Land Forces Academy. The event will be held in the period 12-14(15) June 2019, during which the participants will attend presentations on suggested topics. Participants can also attend the Day of the Academy (13th of June) and the 25th International Scientific Conference – The Knowledge-Based Organization 2019, which will be held in the period 13-15 June 2019. For further details about the Conference, please contact Ms. Ramona Herman to provide you with all the information needed at the e-mail adress: [email protected].
2. Accommodation and meals
The participants are requested to book their own accommodation at their own responsibility and at your own expenses. We suggested 4 hotels which are mentioned in the Application Form:
HILTON HOTEL 5***** - 30 rooms – deadline for booking a room – May 12, 2019; RAMADA HOTEL 4**** - 30 rooms – deadline for booking a room – April 02, 2019; PARC HOTEL 3*** - 30 rooms – deadline for booking a room – March 03, 2019; ROMAN EMPEROR HOTEL 3*** - 40 rooms – deadline for booking a room – May 01, 2019.
Please find the application forms for all 4 hotels. Once you made your decision (one out of these 4 options), send it to the mentioned e-mail address (specified in the application form for the chosen hotel) and also CC Ms. Ramona Herman ([email protected]) about your accommodation decision. All breakfasts are included in the booking of the hotel rooms and will be taken at the hotel. Lunches will be hosted by the LFA. The welcoming cocktail and the dinners will also be hosted by the LFA.
3. Costs
No participation fee is required for the activities held during the EUMACS 2019. Costs of participation in the International Scientific Conference will be provided upon request to those interested.
4. Transportation
Participants are requested to make their own travel arrangements to and from Sibiu (airport/railway station/bus station etc.). „Nicolae Balcescu“ Land Forces Academy will provide free transportation from the above mentioned locations to the Academy and back. Transportation from/to local airport or railway stations must be required in advance, preferably one week before arrival to the event. Free transport will be provided for participants according to the schedule throughout the entire duration of their stay.
5. Registration
Please use the attached application form (if you do not have your transport details on this stage, you can send this information later on) and send it to the POC. Last day for registration is 22nd of April 2019.

Participants are expected to wear A class uniform (if applicable) during working hours, as specified in the Program. Civilian clothes may be worn outside working hours and outside the Academy. We will provide updated information about this as the event approaches.
