Flood situations solution - their consequences, but especially preventive measures – this is a topic that particularly attracts professionals and the public. The international conference „River Basin and Flood Risk Management", which is prepared with participation of all relevant actors in Slovak water management taking part on 6 - 8 December 2011, wants to contribute to this topic.

After last year's conference "Floods 2010: Causes, Development and Experience", the organizers believe that the tradition of serious, competent and focused approach to the problem, which concerns the whole society, will be opened.
