Organizers:
The Institute of Mathematical Machines (IMM) is a Warsaw based research and
development institute. As a public sector institution it is responsible for the
development of innovative ICT technologies development, their application and
dissemination. These technologies include biometric devices and security systems,
modelling and simulation, e-learning systems and services, documents management
systems, knowledge bases development and many others. IMM was established in
1957 and now operates under auspices of the Ministry of Economy.
Medien Service is a business consulting company that specialises in electronic
commerce, especially in identification and transaction systems, The company was
founded in autumn 1992. Medien Service offers years of experience in organising
specialist conferences ( Central European Electronic Card, CommonSign Warsaw,
Polish Cards and Systems, Digital Money & Currency Forum) and trainings, building
operation of cardsystems, production and personalisation of cards, E-Signature, ID- and
e-Health Documents and preparing and searching for partners for joint
enterprises.

About conference :
Institute of Mathematical Machines and Medien Service are organizers of the already fourth edition of the event
dedicated to electronic signature.
Since its first edition, CommonSign aims at construction of interoperability mechanisms for electronic signature on
the level of mutual information exchange and cooperation between the interested parties. The conference is open to
Polish and foreign providers and recipients of applications and services in the area of electronic signature, with
administration representatives having the precedence.
Program of the conference is supervised by Scientific and Program Board consisting of
leading representatives of the scientific world and administration as well as e-signature experts.
For this year’s conference, the following main subject areas are planned: legal regulations,
identification mechanisms, trust services (technical, standardization formats). One of the areas will cover e-signature
solutions as applied in chosen European countries.

About interoperability tests:
Since its first edition, the conference has been accompanied by Polish Interoperability Test for
Electronic Signature, which had been developed in order to verify multilateral interoperability of software for
electronic signing and verification of electronic signatures.
Following the last year’s change in the test formula, also this year the tests will be accessible continuously.
Therefore, tests will be performed in asynchronic form via www service and will be verified by experts from
eSIG (Laboratory of Electronic Signature in Institute of Mathematical Machines).
All test participants will receive quality signs CommonSign SEAL confirming their participation and test
results for their applications.
