CUSTOMS ACT 1901 - NOTICE PURSUANT TO SECTION 269K(1) - APPLICATIONS MADE FOR TARIFF CONCESSION ORDERS

Applications have been lodged for Tariff Concession Orders for the goods described in the following TABLE.

Australian manufacturers who wish to contest the granting of a Tariff Concession Order for the goods described

are invited to lodge a submission in writing in an approved form. Submissions must be lodged within 50 days

of the date of publication of this Notice.

The operative date (Op.) and TC reference number follow the description of goods.

To assist local manufacturers, the use(s) to which the goods can be put follow the description of goods.

COMMERCIAL TARIFF CONCESSION ORDER (CTCO) & TARIFF CONCESSION ORDERS (TCOs) NOT USED IN THE PREVIOUS 2 YEARS

The Comptroller-General of Customs is satisfied that the CTCO and TCOs listed in the table below are no longer

required because, in the 2 years preceding the day of this notice, they have not been quoted in an import

declaration to secure a concessional rate of duty.

From Thursday, 20 October 2016, it is intended to take action to revoke these Orders under subsection 269SD

(1A) of the Customs Act 1901. In accordance with subsection 269SG(2) of the Customs Act 1901, in transit

provisions shall apply. If revoked, the expected date of effect will be 19 October 2016.

Interested parties are invited to provide, by close of business, Wednesday 19 October 2016, written reasons

why an Order should NOT be revoked.

Please advise if any of the Orders listed below have been quoted on an import declaration.

If a request is made to retain an Order used for the granting of a Determination, please specify the

Determination and the linked Item number to enable mapping to the Order and its scope.
