The SPEAKER. The Chair recognizes the majority leader.

Mr. HAYES. By way of schedule announcement, I respectfully suggest that we recess for the Purpose of the two parties caucusing on the calendar, second and third reading bills, so that we can prepare for tomorrow's voting schedule, It is my intention to take amendments to second reading bills tomorrow and to vote all those bills which are on third consideration, to include amendments to the same.

I would ask that we recess at this time in that the House Committee on Federal-State Relations will be meeting at 2 o'clock and there is a possible committee report coming from that panel. So I would ask that the desk remain open and that we only recess so we can take that committee report.

But I would like to recess for the purpose of party caucuses so we can have a good voting session tomorrow. We will come in at 11 o'clock and begin promptly at that time, and I think that we will be able to conclude our voting for this week at the end of tomorrow afternoon and there would not he any need to stay until Thursday. Thank you, Mr. Speaker.

Mr. O'DONNELL. Immediately on the call of the recess, there will be a caucus of the Democratic members. The purpose of the caucus will be to review all the bills on the calendar. We would appreciate it. Thank you very much.
