Improving sanitation means changing people behaviour. In most of Asian Countries, people have more access to mobile phone than to an adequate sanitation facility. For example, A study shows that Indonesia happen to be the second largest country who download and use the most famous and light mobile browser “Opera”, meanwhile android comes with an application what-so-called “toilet” where people can find the nearest toilet location from where she/he is currently standing base on BTS and satellite reading and in the same time enable to add new toilet locations. Can toilet be a product that attach to the emotional feeling of the user like a mobile phone, or as a human basic need in their routine activities?

Asian is now in “top-gear” speed to reach a finish line of the MDG (Millennium Development Goals) to half the country population above the poverty line by 2015. Constructing “X” numbers of toilets or/and other Waste Water Treatment Plants within 4years to come in order to have a comparable figures sanitation facilities versus total of the poverty population is just a numbers, this is not an absolute measurement of how the country have succeed in delivering a message to improve people’s quality of life and changing from bad to better sustainable behaviour toward sanitation.

Have we brought up the message to scaling-up DEWATS dissemination to the mainstream channel of nowadays information platforms? So public can have the access sanitation information by using their tools?

Encourage them to tweet their morning inspiration while sitting in the toilet. Invite them to join as our Fan and book their face on our Fan Page. Let them to check-in at one of our DEWATS on-site public toilet by using four-square. Facilitate them in book-marking DEWATS plants locations on maps.google.com, etc.
