Job Description Position: Communications Director Reports to: Executive Director of Operations Classification: Full Time Supervises: Communications Project Managers, Web Developers, Social Media Specialists, Graphic Designers, Interns, Serve Staff Purpose: The Communications Director will manage The Church of Eleven22’s brand, the Hope’s Closet Thrift Store’s brand, and all communication channels including: website, app, social media, blogs, video, print collateral, multi-site campus environments, public relations, and internal communications. This position is also accountable for building and managing the communications budget as it relates to all aspects of the church’s operations and ministry areas; as well as managing the staff responsible for executing these priorities. Job Requirements/Experience: Bachelor degree required 6-8 years of communications experience to include: developing communications strategy, social media, graphic design/marketing, and digital marketing or communications Required Competencies/Skills: Strategic planning: Ability to identify key issues and goals relevant to achieving the church’s vision Ability to translate vision into actionable tactics and plans Demonstrated ability to build organizational relationships/partnerships both internally and externally Proven track record of effective leadership, judgement, discernment, and above reproach character Manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion Possess strong organizational, planning, and problem solving skills Demonstrated ability to successfully influence and drive change Strong written and oral communication skills Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement an annual communications plan that incorporates growth strategies and protects the Eleven22 brand Assist Hope’s Closet Thrift Store with its annual communications planning and execution Create and launch key event campaigns aligned to the vision of The Church of Eleven22 and the mission of Hope’s Closet Develop branding initiatives, internal communications, and external media relations Manage media relations and maximize media opportunities

• Develop, implement, and monitor: A brand style guide across all communication channels, a communications style guide across all ministry areas, digital strategies, and other media strategies

Digital Strategies: • Website: Manage all content and visual assets (video, photography, etc.) of the website.

Manage web developers and analytics to assess and enhance user experiences and engagement

• App: Develop all content and graphics. Assess and manage the functionality and engagement that users experience through the app. Determine which app tools to employ at what time

• Social Media and Blog: Ensure maximum reach across Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for The Church of Eleven22, Pastor Joby Martin, Hope’s Closet, and various other ministry areas. Ensure all content is doctrinally sound, biblically accurate, and reflects brand language and culture. Distribution of the blog across various platforms

• Email: Craft and develop email messages that are church-wide communications as well as ministry-area specific

Other Media Strategies: • Video: Ensure all video shot for use outside of worship services adheres to specified

ministry goals as well as brand standards • Print Collateral: Develop content based on ministry input; ensure all printed materials are

accurate, easy to read, meet ministry goals, and reflect the brand and reputation of The Church of Eleven22

• Multi-site Campus Environment: Utilize all areas of each campus as communication channels including video screens, signage, etc.

• Public Relations: Strategically engage and leverage local media outlets for the sake of the Gospel. This includes managing media relations for our ministry partners

• Event Promotion: Manage flow of church-wide events based on Ministry MAPS to develop promotional strategy for each event

Success Factors: • Model The Church of Eleven22’s vision, mission, and core values • The ability to disciple others with their walk with Jesus Christ
