Introduction
Do generational differences exist when using communication technology?
As undergraduate students at Doane College Lincoln Campus our goal was to create a survey to address this vary question.
Join Emily, Matt, and Nic as we explore this issue.
What defines a Generation?
A group of people born in a defined time period that share similar life circumstances while growing up.The following four generations surveyed were:Veterans (born 1925-1945)Baby Boomers (1946-1964)Generation X (1965-1983)Generation Y (1984-2000)
How is each generation’s use of technology different?
We distributed 64 email invitations to participate in our survey, of those 58 responded. With the following generational representation.

Conclusion
Our survey results indicated that all generations utilize modern technology in various degrees.
All 4 generations showed a limited exposure to business based communication tools
Social networking sites had the highest level of participation.
