In-Situ® Telemetry OverviewTROLL® Link Systems — 2010

Two TROLL® Link Telemetry Systems

• Web-based system with Data Center access

• Do-it-yourself system with direct access

Web-Based System with Data Center Access

• Your data is collected and sent to In-Situ Inc.’s secure data center via satellite or mobile phone network.

• Data is accessible worldwide using the Internet In-Situ Inc.’s secure web site.

• Full range of alarming capabilities from Data Center including text messaging, phone, email, etc.

Do-It-Yourself — Direct-Connect System

• Your data is collected by your computer either manually or automatically via mobile phone network (Verizon® or AT&T®).

• Data can be extracted to CSV or Text for import into other systems (i.e., your web site or database).

• Alarming from TROLL Link system limited to text messaging to a single mobile phone.

Web-Based Data Center Products

• TROLL® Link 201 – Satellite Iridium® system is used to report current measurements to Data Center.

Reliable — 24x7x365 Unaffected by outages due to natural disasters (i.e., hurricanes/tornados)

Provides access where mobile phone network reception is poor (i.e., canyons, mountains, unpopulated areas)

Higher cost to transmit data to Data Center• TROLL® Link 101 – GSM Mobile Phone

AT&T/Rogers based – Uses mobile phone data (IP) network to report current measurements to Data Center

Lower operating cost per byte than the TROLL Link 201 satellite system

Do-It-Yourself — Direct-Connect Products

• TROLL® Link 100 – GSM/GPRS Works worldwide with any GSM/GPRS system

• TROLL® Link 102 – CDMA Mobile Phone Verizon®/TELUS®/Bell – Available for use in USA, Canada and Mexico

• Both Systems Supports TCP/IP or Modem (Circuit Switched) connections Customers use their established phone provider for service CE and FCC compliant – Can be used internationally Pass-Thru Modbus ASCII – Allows use of Win-Situ® 5, SCADA or custom

software solutions

Optimize Your Telemetry Uplinkswith the Ultra-Low Power TROLL® Net Hub

• Connect up to 8 Level TROLLs, Aqua TROLLs or Modbus devices to a single telemetry unit. 4/8-Port Quick-Connect models allow easy

field access to sensors from RuggedReader® handheld PCs or laptops for web-based units.

4/8-Port Cord Grip Models save money for Do-It-Yourself, Direct-Connect systems.

Summary

• 2 telemetry systems (Data Center/Direct Connect) allow for full flexibility in meeting data collection and data chain of custody requirements.

• Data Center systems eliminate need to build and maintain a web site that provides access to field data.

• Direct Connect systems eliminate need to custom engineer a telemetry system that keeps data in-house.

• TROLL® Net hubs allow a single telemetry uplink box to support multiple devices.

Radio Highlights

• Plug and play—Uses existing RuggedCable® System with twist-lock connector option. Stripped-and-tinned option available.

• Multiple instrument types: Aqua TROLL 100/200/400 Level TROLL 300/500/700 Rugged TROLL 200 RDO® PRO Probe
