CENTRE WELLINGTON

CHILDREN’SDRAMA CLUB

Director: Michelle KreitzerDates: May 7, 8, 13, 14 & 15 at 8:00 p.m.

May 9 at 2:00 p.m.When lovely young Gideon Hollis a.k.a. Giddy spots an unconscious man in a tanktop and shorts lying in Copley Square just after all other Boston Marathon racers havecrossed the finish line, she reasons that since nice guys finish last, this must be Mr.Right! She has a helpful policeman tote him to her nearby apartment, shocking herroommate whose fiancé is due for a dinner date. When the comatose dreamboat revives and cannot remember who he is, Giddy tells him they are married and regretsher subterfuge when he tries to be a loving husband. Complications escalate at a furious pace in this outrageous concoction of wild, warm, and lightning paced hilaritythat is perfect for the entire family. Community League (born 2000 - 2003)

The Centre Wellington Minor Lacrosse Association is pleased to offer a local league program geared to new comers and parents who don't want to do the travel that comes with most sports. It will be a great mentoring program to offer the skills in the game of lacrosse. The program is only provided for Tyke and Novice age players. The communities participating in this league are Cambridge and Kitchener Waterloo. The league would run approximately 11 weeks with start up beginning mid to late April. The benefits would be a lower registration fee (not going to increase during the season), less travel time, shorter schedule, and more focus on skill development that would help introduce new kids to the sport. Our goal is to make this a fun and excellent experience for both parents and kids having only fun day tournaments on weekends so those who like their weekends to camp or to play other sports can do so. We hope in the next couple years to have more centers run local league teams since Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge have had much success with their system and we hope to do the same. Nights of play will be Tykes - Monday night and Novice - Wednesday night.

Mite Program

Welcome to an exciting year of Mite Lacrosse in Centre Wellington! Our program introduces kids to the basics of the game in a fun learning environment. The Mites will be divided out according to their age on Thursday evenings. The 4 year olds (born in 2006) will have a 30-minute practice focusing on learning the basics of the game. The 5 - 6 year olds (born in 2005 & 2004) will enjoy a one-hour practice, progressing to a 30 minute practice, 30 minute game later in the season. The schedule will be posted at www.cwmla.com in late March or early April. Centre Wellington Minor Lacrosse will also offer a Select program to the 6 yr. old Mites who are looking for a more competitive challenge and a little more floor time. The Select program will consist of a few tournaments, some exhibition games and a few extra practices. It will also involve an additional fee requirement. This is good preparation for those players who are interested in playing at the rep level once they move up to the Tyke division. More information will be provided once the season is underway.

Volunteers are always needed (Dads and/or Moms). No experience necessary.
