A newly-constructed, 72-bed specialty hospital located just north of Austin. They provide

inpatient and outpatient treatment services to adults suffering from mental illness and/or

addiction.

In the Inpatient Program, patients receive detailed clinical and medical assessments, psychiatric

stabilization, and rehabilitation care. This program offers the advantages of a controlled,

structured environment with 24-hour nursing care and intensive treatment not available on an

outpatient basis. It may include up to 10 hours per day of programming. During treatment, each

patient connects with a treatment team, including a physician, nurse, primary therapist and

recreational therapist. A full schedule of treatment activities addresses the biological,

psychological and relationship skills needed for recovery. These activities include group

therapy, fitness and wellness, education lectures and family engagement, among others.

An Alumni Support Group is offered for all patients who complete their initial treatment program.

Recovery is a lifelong process and requires continued support from others.

Families have the opportunity to participate in education and support groups to increase their

understanding of addiction and mental illness. This process helps them learn about themselves

and their roles and responsibilities in the recovery process. With this important information in

hand, the family has a greater opportunity to reunite and start interacting in a more helpful and

healthy manner.
