Think of it like Park and Ride but with e-bikes,
instead of buses and trains.
It uses the most efficient mode of
transportation for each leg of the
journey; a car for the highway or
the suburbs, and a bike to bypass
traffic congestion downtown.

As people return to work after covid-19, many will be hesitant to use public transit. Single occupancy vehicle use is expected to increase, and traffic will be back in a big way.
Park & Pedal provides an individual, open air commute, while still reducing SOVs.

What time do you leave for a 9:00 am meeting?
Google Maps predicts a range for driving time based on possible
traffic, which varies as much as “30 min – 1 hour 5 min”.
E-bikes don’t get stuck in traffic, so Park & Pedal eliminates the
most unpredictable portion of the commute, allowing you to
arrive when you expect.

Greener
Park & Pedal eliminates the most polluting segment of the trip.
CO2 emissions per mile for a passenger vehicle greatly increase under 25 mph, and are even worse in stop and go traffic.
This is replaced with a zero emission e-bike.

Looking at the options for those living outside the city, Park & Pedal is the lowest cost and fastest.
Public transit would be a good option for many, but it is slower because it is not a door-to-door solution.
