Motor overload prevention If excessive force is applied to the motor and there is a risk of the motor coil being damaged, the power turns off automatically. Properly attach the bran receptacle to the main unit. Fully insert the bran receptacle to the outlet of the removed bran. Note that if the case is not properly attached, the bran will be scattered during polishing. Take a spoonful of sample with the supplied spoon. * A spoonful of rice measured with the supplied spoon is approxi- mately 10 g. Set the sample on the polishing disk of the Pearlest and close the cover. Then, lock the latch. * If bran or dust is left, the cover may not be closed. Before start polishing, clean the unit and fully close the cover. Turn the power ON to start polishing. The polishing time differs depending on the samples or moisture content. Barley 180 to 240 sec. * Many broken particles may be generated depending on the sample. * For barley, optional parts for barley polishing are required. The Pearlest can also be used for inspecting condition and mixing degree of spotted rice influenced by pentatomid, burnt, cracked, colored, nonglutinous, or glutinous rice. Before using this instrument, thoroughly read this operating manual, and use it properly. ② Make sure that the cover is closed, and the power is turned off. When the AC adapter is connected to the outlet, the status lamp will light up.

(1) Push the bottom part of the bran receptacle toward the main unit.

(2) Pull the entire case from the top.

<How to remove>

① Disassemble the rice polishing parts using the supplied pallet.

(washer, polishing disk, rubber ring, rubber disc)

② Set the polishing time using the [+]/[-] key. Long pless of the key will change the value swiftly.

③ Take a spoonful of sample with the supplied spoon.

④ Set the sample on the polishing disk of the Pearlest and close the cover. Then, lock the latch.

* If bran or dust is left, the cover may not be closed. Before start polishing, clean the unit and fully close the cover.

⑤ Pless the [START/STOP] key. The set time for polishing will start counting down in

steps of 1 second.

⑦ Push the lever while the cover of the Pearlest is closed.

* If the sample is left in the polishing unit, the clatter may be heard. Push the lever until the sound is stopped.

⑧ The polished sample will be ejected to the polished sample receptacle.

⑨ When the motor is stopped, open the cover, and take out the polished sample receptacle.

⑩ Pless the [ON/OFF] key to turn off the power.

⑥ Polishing ends at 0 second. The display restores the preset time.

① Connect the Pearlest and the timer using the dedicated cable.

② Connect the AC adapter to the Pearlest DC power inlet.

② Assemble the parts for polishing the barley. (metal ring, metal disk (a), washer for barley, metal disk (b))

① Pless the [ON/OFF] key. The previously set time will be displayed.

Directions (The power of the Pearlest is always OFF.)

The polishing time can be set between 0 second and 59 minutes 59 seconds.Plessing the [ON/OFF] key will start and end the polishing in the preset time.

By replacing the polishing parts for rice to the barley, barley polishing will become available. Also, the parts can be used for rice suitable for brewing sake.

* In order to avoid loosening of the parts, firmly fix with the supplied pallet.

CautionsWhen using the Pearlest Timer TZ-910, it is required to set the power of the Compact Grain Polisher Pearlest TP-3000 always OFF. If the power in ON, the timer is disabled.

The power has to be OFF.If it is ON, the Pearlest timer cannot be used.
