We have the perfect solution for you!

Our compact temperature control units are grouped into the three product lines base.line, high.line and eco.line. Their main differences are the pump technology used, the operating concept, and the possible degree of individuali-sation.

The compact temperature control unit series is largely preconfigured with extensive features and can be custo-mised, using a variety of options.

The performance range of the compact temperature control units includes devices with a heat output of up to 50 kW, a flow rate of up to 440 L/min and a media tem-perature of up to 180 °C. In the modular temperature control unit series, the unit can be individually configured on request from extensive equipment features and numerous options.

The performance range of the compact temperature control units includes devices with a heat output of up to

72 kW, a flow rate of up to 500 L/min and a media tem-perature of up to 350°C.

A special feature of almost all gwk standard temperature control units is the efficient gwk heater with zero-loss heat transfer.

Together, all three product lines and both degrees of indi-vidualisation stand for high quality and reliability, as well as the “MADE IN GERMANY” label.

The “longlife” stainless steel heating cartridges used in the high.line and eco.line come with an additional 10-year long-term guarantee.

The compact series teco c guarantees an efficient tempe-rature control with water temperatures from 0 °C to 225 °C. The units are available in various versions and with a new generation of controllers. The units in modern industrial design stand for high-quality but affordable technology, high availability, user- and service friendliness. The re-quirements for high energy efficiency, comprehensive pro-cess monitoring and industry 4.0 compatibility are also covered by the series. Already in its basic version, the e-device is the preferred solution for many applications, with an excellent price-per-formance ratio. Basic equipment includes the gwk basicControl micro-processor control with display of set and actual tempera-

tures, an automatic water refill, automatic mould draining, an energy-saving continuous heat control. For the indivi-dualization there are different interfaces, an individual co-louration and lettering, mounting on rubber buffers or rails instead of rolls and other important options. The t-units are equipped with the new gwk compact Control controller with fast 32-bit processor. It has an independent display and control unit logotherm develo-ped by gwk itself with a 7-inch touchscreen with intuitive user interface with friendly menu navigation. The top version gwk modulControl where also the inputs and outputs of different circuit boards can be chosen freely, completes the new controller family of gwk.

The compact protemp series is characterized by its spe-cial energy efficiency, high performance and connectivity. The units are available with highly efficient stainless steel centrifugal pumps in a constant or controlled (eco) version. The units stand for particularly high-quality technology, extensive standard equipment, easy use and ease of ser-vice. Modern interfaces for connecting machine control systems, MES BDE systems or analysis apps, and an in-ternal bus system for the integration of proflow water dis-tributors fulfil the demands placed on a modern Industry 4.0 solution. A EUROMAP 82.1-capable OPC UA interface, various manufacturer-specific OPC UA interfaces, a PROFINET

interface and serial RS 485 and TTY interfaces are also available.

In the eco version, the pump energy consumption can be shown on the display, so that the energy consumption can be constantly monitored and optimized. The protemp series is equipped with a microprocessor controller with fast high-performance processors desi-gned specifically for this premium series. Uniform opera-tion via the protemp display and control unit with a 4.3“ touch screen with intuitive user interface and user friendly menu navigation.

With the outstanding efficiency and performance, as well as numerous features of the standard equipment, such as control cabinet with protection class IP 54, stainless steel pump, dual-frequency 50/60 Hz pump motor, increased flow rate with 3 bar back pressure, increased cooling capacity, flow and return temperature sensor, digital pressure display, electronic flow measurement, acoustic and visual alarm, dirt collector in cooling water inlet and consumer return, separa-te cooling and fill up connection for indirectly cooled advan-ced devices, the digitization concept protemp connect 4.0, and much more makes the protemp series an outstanding product on the market even in the premium segment.

By means of the digitization concept protemp connection 4.0, water distributors of the protemp series can be connected directly to the temperature controller and the process para-meters flow rate and return flow temperature can be displayed and controlled for up to twelve single circuits. Furthermore, via OPC UA or Profinet the process data can be transferred to the machine control systems, MES systems or the gwk tempanalyser App if required.

Reducing CO2 emissions with our highly efficient enersave technology

In addition to high cost savings, the gwk enersave technology also enables a considerable reduc-tion of CO2 emissions for temperature control applications.

Innovative pump technology

The water pumps that are usually integrated in tem-perature control units and systems play an impor-tant role for the total energy consumption of the unit.

For this reason only highly efficient centri-fugal pumps are used in the protemp equip-ment series. Compared to conventional, less efficient peripheral pumps, CO

2 emissions can

be considerably reduced.

itc evo – Four circuit for temperature controllers

The multiple distribution system has been desig-ned for the attachment to temperature control-lers to adjust and monitor individually the flow volume and the return temperature of parallel connected consumer circuits. Thus the system ensures the hydraulic balance in the tempera-ture control circuits with different pressure los-ses and ensures an economic and reliable distribution of the flow rate delivered. The flow rate and the return temperature of

each circuit is indicated on the central display of the temperature controller. The process monitoring is performed by the ad-justment of minimum and maximum limit values for the flow rate, return temperature and diffe-rential temperature per circuit. In addition, pro-cess performances per distribution circuit are displayed. When the tolerance band is exceeded alarm functions are activated and displayed.

protemp flow ultrasonic – Mobile multi-circuit temperature control with contactless flow measurement

The mobile multi-circuit temperature control protemp flow offers the maximum energy efficiency, performance and monitoring. This device concept combines the advantages of the protemp advanced, series 2, and of the enersave proflow ultrasonic in one device. The multiple distribution system is designed for individual adjustment and monitoring of the flow and the return flow temperature of parallel load circuits. The system thus ensures the hydraulic compen-sation in temperature control circuits with diffe-rent pressure losses and allows a cost-efficient and reliable distribution of the flow rate supplied by the device.

The flow measurement of the individual consu-mer circuits is contactless and takes place by means of ultrasonic sensors. The flow rates and the return flow temperature

are displayed for each circuit on the display of the temperature control unit. In addition to the indication in the device display, the flow rate is displayed on the sensor and the status is signalled with a large red/green LED. Process monitoring takes place by setting minimum flow rate limits. Once the limit value falls below the threshold, an alarm function is triggered and displayed in the device as well as on the sensor.

The process values can be transferred to higher-level control systems via the optional OPC UA temperature control unit interface and visualized there. The gwk tempanalyser APP , offers a process data analysis and visualization solution which can be used on Windows, Adroid or iOS operating systems.
