Company Background

Minstaff Survey was established in Cobar, New South Wales in May 1995 to

provide a surveying solution to underground mine development projects

throughout Central and Western New South Wales.

In the first decade of operation Minstaff Survey continued to specialise in the

provision of surveying services to major mine development projects throughout the

Eastern States of Australia.

In 2006 Minstaff Survey relocated to Toowoomba and expanded to become a multi-

disciplined surveying firm that provides survey teams, survey labour, technical

advice and consultation to commercial and private clients.

Minstaff Survey specialise in providing a range of surveying services, with our firm

having a proven track record of delivering professional and cost efficient services

to various development projects (undertaking mining, geodetic, construction,

cadastral, scanning & aerial works) throughout Australia and overseas.

Minstaff Survey has grown to become a highly regarded surveying firm, with

several offices throughout Australia employing over 50 employees to meet our

clients specific survey requirements.

Key Staff

Jake Laing - General ManagerJake Laing commenced with Minstaff Survey in 2006. Jake holds a Bachelor of

Business (Majoring in Human Resource Management & Psychology) from the

University of Southern Queensland.

Jake is based in the Toowoomba Head Office and is responsible for human resources,

managing client relationships, finance and administration and coordinating our

integrated management and quality system.

Rick Perissinotto – Senior Surveyor – MiningRick Perissinotto has been the Principal Surveyor of Minstaff Survey since 1999.

Rick holds an Associate Diploma of Applied Science (Surveying) and a Bachelor of

Technology (Surveying) from the University of Southern Queensland. He is a member

of the Australian Institute of Mine Surveyors and is a NSW & QLD Registered Mining

Surveyor.

Prior to joining Minstaff Surveying Rick held senior site survey positions with Mt Isa

Mines, Gunpowder Copper Limited and Gympie Eldorado Gold Mine.

Michael Koschel – Senior Surveyor – Engineering & ProjectsMichael joined Minstaff Survey in 2008 as a Senior Surveyor, as the company

expanded Michael has taken on more responsibility and now manages all engineering

and construction project works.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Spatial Science (USQ), is a member of the Spatial

Sciences Institute of QLD and is a Registered Surveyor with SBQ.

Michael has approximately 15 years surveying experience, undertaking and managing

engineering and cadastral works for a range of private, government and commercial

projects.

Rowan Dickfos – Senior Surveyor – Cadastral Rowan is employed as Minstaff Survey’s Senior Cadastral Surveyor and is primarily

responsible for all cadastral, town planning and drafting services performed by our firm.

Rowan holds a Bachelor of Spatial Science (USQ), is a member of the Spatial Sciences

Institute of QLD and is a Registered Surveyor with SBQ & BOSSI.

Prior to joining Minstaff Survey in 2008, Rowan held a senior position with McKeagues

Surveying Consultants in Rockhampton.

Matt Williams – UAV Systems Manager Matt Williams commenced work with Minstaff Survey in 2010 as a Graduate Surveyor.

Matt has developed our UAV (Un-maned Aerial Vehicle) Division from the ground up

and is responsible for the operation and management of all aerial surveys undertaken

by Minstaff Survey.

Matt holds a Bachelor Spatial Science (USQ), is a Type Certified RPAS Operator with

the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and a member of the Australian Certified UAV

Operators Association.

Lucas Flumm – Laser Scanning Manager Lucas commenced work with Minstaff Survey in 2011 as a Project Surveyor undertaking

work on mining and construction projects throughout Australia.

Prior to commencing work with Minstaff Survey, Lucas was the Technical Director of

a Laser Scanning Firm in the UK. Lucas has brought his knowledge and applications

of Laser Scanning Systems to Minstaff Survey and has played an instrumental role in

establishing this division of the company.

Lucas has his Masters Degree in Science (Surveying & Environmental Management)

and in his current position is responsible for the operation and management of all laser

scanning and post processing undertaken by Minstaff Survey.

Heidi Reck – HSEQ & Administration Manager Heidi is employed in the role of HSEQ/Admin Manager and is responsible for the

administration function of the company and managing all administration staff.

Heidi brings over 15 years experience to Minstaff Survey, with extensive knowledge

and experience in accounting, consultation and quality assurance across multiple

industries.

Heidi holds a Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety and has formal training in the

areas of Quality Management and Auditing.

Minstaff Survey service mine sites throughout Australia and

overseas and across a range of mining environments; Open

Cut, Underground, Metalliferous and Coal Mining Operations.

Minstaff Survey provide fully contained surveying teams for

mining development projects and project work (mine lease

surveys, exploration surveys, general mine site construction

surveys, check surveys, tailings dam projects, establishment

of mine baselines or control networks etc.) or surveying labour

only to cater for various mine site requirements including leave

relief coverage, survey or software training, survey audits or to

complete the requirements of a statutory mine surveyor.

MinStaff’s UAV system is a fast and simple system to transport and

deploy throughout the country unlike other UAV Systems due to It’s

light-weight, low-noise system, powered by battery electric motor and

designed with an aerodynamic profile that provides maximum flight

stability and endurance to ensure safe and reliant data collection that

minimise risk and optimise safety.

The eBee is capable covering ground areas up to 10km2 in one

flight (at 3cm – 30cm pixels) to provide results to as low as 50mm

horizontal and vertical.

This technology enables MinStaff Survey to cover large and detailed

areas very efficiently and cost effectively, allowing us to survey ‘high risk’

or inaccessible areas from a safe distance as well as providing a rapid

turnaround of data.
