Our Licensed Hospitality Work Academies offer unemployed individuals an opportunity to gain an awareness of our industry in order to gain employment. The pre-employment course is an excellent introduction into what to expect from the many roles available in our vibrant sector.

Delivered Nationwide, this programme takes just three weeks to complete and guarantees candidates an interview with some of the UKs biggest employers. It also offers employers direct access to available resource to meet the demands of recruitment.

To assist this programme, we are looking for employers to partner with who can offer a work placement or an opportunity of employment.

Pre-EmploymentCandidates who attend the Licensed Hospitality Work Academy can expect to complete;

• Introduction to the Hospitality industry This qualification provides a host of vital information for anyone going into the Hospitality industry for the first time.

• Work Skills Work Skills gives candidates advice and guidance on how to apply for jobs and seek the best employment opportunities.

ApprenticeshipsOur Training Officers are highly qualified and have a wealth of experience in the Licensed Hospitality industry. Here’s just a few of the programmes we can offer you and your teams;

Higher EducationCharnwood can offer you Higher Level Education for your Management team.

• Management Level 5 Diploma This vocational programme has been developed specifically for Managers with a wide span of control and a ccountability for performance.

This qualification will allow your Management team to gain a comprehensive experience of the Hospitality sector and is equivalent to a foundation degree.

The Apprenticeship programme offers a flexible approach for training delivery. Delivered in the workplace by one of our assessors an Apprenticeship programme takes between 9-12 months and is fully accredited as a nationally recognised qualification by the awarding bodies.

AGE Grant 16 to 24 ApprenticeshipIf your business currently employs less than 250 employees and is able to offer a job opportunity to a young person aged 16 to 24 years, then you could receive a Grant to help with the costs.

The AGE 16 to 24 Grant aims to help small employers to engage with and benefit from Apprenticeships and in turn offer young people the opportunity to join the licensed trade and gain new skills.
