Who we are

As a leading innovator, SCHURTER manufactures and

distributes components for circuit protection, as well

as connectors, switches and EMC products. In close

cooperation with the customers, input systems are

developed and manufactured. SCHURTER also offers

services for the electronics industry in the field of printed

circuit board assembly. The business unit Solutions

coordinates complete solutions from project planning

to the manufacture of end products. Thanks to a well-

organized worldwide network of country representatives

and distributors, customers benefit from high product

availability and short delivery times.

A Family Business

The SCHURTER company was founded in 1933 by

Heinrich Schurter as a limited partnership and con-

verted into a stock corporation in 1949. In 1990, the

SCHURTER Holding AG, which still exists today, was

founded in Lucerne (Switzerland). Today, SCHURTER

employs around 2000 people in 20 countries world-

wide and is managed by family members of the third

generation: Thomas Schurter is Chairman of the Board

of Directors of SCHURTER Holding AG. In January 2015,

Hans- Rudolf Schurter handed over the operational man-

agement of the SCHURTER Group to Ralph Müller. For

the first time in the more than 80-year history of the com-

pany, the operational management of SCHURTER was

handed over to someone outside of the family. In order to

secure its position as a leading innovator and producer of

electronic components, the SCHURTER Group has been

significantly enlarged through acquisitions in recent years.

Lucerne (Switzerland). We develop, produce and

distribute our products in plants in Switzerland,

Germany, the Czech Republic, China, France, India,
