Inter-producer comparison
Chapter 9.0This chapter compares the large paper companies, based on their
operational and financial parameters. Operational parameters have been
further divided into costs, and marketing and distibution related parameters.
The operating efficiency of a company depends on its capacity, plant
location, availability of raw material and power, its distribution network
and product portfolio. Companies, such as BILT, JK, TNPL , ITC BPL
and APPM, have an advantage with respect to most of these parameters.
Small companies, such as Pudumjee, have also benefitted due to their
focus on speciality paper.
