The Brain The Brain is part of the nervous system The brain sends messages throughout the body using tiny nerve
cells The Brain consists of the Cerebrum, the Thalamus, the Brain stem,
and the Cerebellum
Cerebrum
We compared the cerebrum to the wires that control the electricity The cerebrum controls the things that you want to do ex. Move your
arm The cerebrum is part of the brain
Thalamus
We compared the thalamus to the computers The thalamus sorts out messages The thalamus is part of your brain
Brain Stem
We compared the brain stem to the P.A. The brain stem links the brain to the spinal chord The brain stem is part of the brain
Cerebellum We compared the cerebellum to the teacher The cerebellum makes sure all the parts of
the body work together, just like a teacher does to a class
The cerebellum is part of the brain
The Lungs
The Lungs are part of the respiratory system The Lungs help you breathe The Lungs consist of the Trachea, the Bronchus,
the Alveoli, and the Bronchioles
Trachea
We compared the trachea to the entrance to our school
The trachea is the windpipe that leads from your mouth to your chest
The trachea is part of the lungs
Bronchus
We compared the bronchus to the hallways in our school
The bronchus are two tubes that branch from the windpipe and lead to each of the lungs
The bronchus is part of the lungs
Alveoli
We compared the Alveoli to the classrooms in our school
The alveoli are sacks of air that supplies the air to our lungs
The alveoli is part of the lungs
Bronchioles
We compared the bronchioles to the students in the classrooms
The bronchioles are fine tubes inside the lungs that transports air to the air sacks A.K.A. the alveoli.
The bronchioles are part of the lungs
