Introduction• Since 2010, Dr. Paula Jo Colescott has served as the
assistant medical director at Providence Breakthrough in Anchorage, Alaska, where she provides medical assessments of people with addictions. Also active with various non-profit organizations, Dr. Paula Jo Colescott supports several children through Compassion International.
Currently, more than 1.5 million children around the world receive sponsorship through Compassion International. To provide continuing support for children who have grown up in poverty, Compassion International operates a leadership development program available to students who have excelled in school and wish to attend college.

Leadership Development Program• Sponsored students receive full tuition and living
expenses while in college, where they also engage in a Christ-centered curriculum and have the opportunity to focus on various leadership topics. Additionally, students participate in community service and receive individual mentorship.
