13 - 18 years Youth Poultry Showmanship Competition

Competition is to educate youth in preparing, handling and Exhibiting poultry. 1. The Competitor shall be judged on the capture and removal of their bird from the pen, carrying, in hand, posing and returning the bird to the pen to complete Judge’s assessment of the Handling of the Exhibit. 2. The Competitor will be scored on their knowledge of the Exhibit. This will be assessed by answers given to questions directed from the Competition Judge.

Class 150 – Vertical Garden. Two Components: (multiple entries permitted per school. ie: class groups) 1. Grown Component: Box or basket (not exceeding 500mm square) of produce from a Metropolitan Primary school garden, comprising of five different types of fruit, vegetables or herbs.
