Completion Tracking
Conditional activitiesThe delayed appearance of an activity or resource to Students in a
course, based on their completion status of some other activity or resource.
What makes this “personal”
The appearance of activities depends on Students’ own completion of prior activities.
Each user’s completion is tracked individually. So, the course may appear differently to different Students.
Two Tools Conditional activities is a concept that is built using

marked automatically complete when students view it
Access Restrictions
Hide something and then later reveal it automatically.
Access to this is restricted until some condition is fulfilled.
(Don’t put them on the thing you want to be completed.)
Access restrictions
Restriction typesIn addition to Activity completion, restrictions can be based
on: Date range Grades on one or more gradable activities User profile field contents
Adding a restriction
You can: 1) Set 2) Hide 3) Remove
You can have multiple restriction conditions
Setting an access restriction
Topic section restrictionYou can not only set access restrictions on any activity
or resource, you can also set them on a whole Topic section.
This will restrict the entire section and all activities within it.
ExerciseSet an access restriction on a Quiz so that it will appear
only after students have read a document; allow them to see the condition
ExerciseWhen the student passes the Quiz with an 80% grade, open
a another topic sectionSteps:1) Add completion to the Quiz based on grade2) Set a passing grade for the Quiz in the Gradebook3) Add access restriction to the Topic
