Dura Composites supplied over 800m2 ofDura Deck Type 295 which was chosenbecause of its’ ease of installation. The Type295 double width planks can halve installationtime and have specially designed sub-surfacefixings which make it barefoot friendly,uniform and safe for all shoe types.

Dura Deck is produced from WoodPlastic Composite (WPC) which ismanufactured by an extrusionprocess using a mix of recycledplastics and hardwood with variousbespoke additives.

The client had tried two differentvarieties of natural timber for hisbackyard deck, around a pool, close tothe beach. The salty air had destroyedboth timbers within months, causingwarping, fading and splitting. DuraComposites Australasia supplied DuraDeck Type 146 in teak, solving themaintenance issues for the clientinstantly. The client was so impressedhe extended the deck to other areas ofthe backyard. Salt water and air poseno problem for Dura Composites’timber composite and the deck stilllooks as good as it did the day it wasinstalled.

Start /Stop fixing clipsThis clip is designed to secure the start or end boards without unsightly screws through the walking surface.

The Type 142 requires only a below surface fixing screw, no clips required.

General InformationDura Deck composite decking boardsare produced with a hollow core centrewhich creates exceptional strength andlightness. Every board has a recessmoulded into each edge which accepts aheavy duty hold down clip, creating aBelow Surface secure fixing, using 8gand 10g stainless steel colour codedscrews. The result is a fully professional

screw and nail free appearance with fullbare foot safety.

Manufactured from polyethylene basedresins, reclaimed hardwood, and finishedwith an attractive hardwearing anti-slipfinish. Dura Deck eliminates rot, algaegrowth, discolouration and significantlyreduces the risk of slipping in wetconditions.

Dura Deck and Dura Tile aremanufactured from recycled andsustainable materials, yet gives theappearance of traditional hardwoodtimber. Due to its advanced materialcomposition and unique design it is ableto span up to 700mm, meeting most oftoday’s requirements set by architects,designers and specifiers.

All data based on Live Point Load testing using 300m x 75mm Pad to replicate 'a foot' in ambient conditions using typical 400mm span based on single planks that are fixeddown using Dura Deck approved fixing clips and/or screws. Please see Installation Guide for span and gapping requirement depending on location.

Featuring the Interlocking system,each tile can be attached to thenext in seconds and will enhanceand add value to balcony decks,roof terraces, patios, verandahs,conservatories, restaurantterraces and swimming pooldecking.
