What is our role?

To help SQA use ICT more effectively to support delivery and assessment of our qualifications

Three main areas of work:– Automating our processes– Allowing candidates to take our assessments

using computers– Providing training to teachers who deliver our

qualifications

assessment guidelines easily accessible on a dedicated website

To provide online, a structure to allow subject teachers/lecturers to develop their assessment skills

Assessment Principles of the subject The opportunity to assess candidates’

responses to real assessments The opportunity to view rich feedback on how

the assessment team has judged these same responses

For centres: High quality materials for CPD For SQA: A means of spreading the standards

and recruiting and training new markers

Keep up with the technology and try to improve the way in which content is delivered

Actively promote the website and seek the views of users on how it can be improved
