Jump start your child’s STEAM education with Codingwith Kids’ Little Coders class! Students will develop theircomputational thinking skills and build their owncreative programs. Our curriculum combines a blendof fun activities - both "on-screen" and “off-screen” - tokeep students engaged and excited about coding. This class will give students a strong foundation oncoding basics, such as loops and conditionals, that canbe built upon in our other classes. Kids will beintroduced to these programming fundamentals in avariety of ways appropriate for this age group, fromcoding puzzles and board games to hands-onprogramming using online drag-and-drop tools, such asScratch (scratch.mit.edu).
Do you play games and wonder how they arecreated? Would you like to build your own computerprograms? Come learn how at the Coding with KidsAcademy! In this fun after-school class, BEGINNERS willbe introduced to the core concepts of computerprogramming, including loops, conditionals andvariables. INTERMEDIATE students will move on to moreadvanced concepts, such as nested conditionals andfunctions with parameters. Using the Scratchdevelopment environment, you will learn how to createa variety of programs, from simple animations to multi-level games. With new projects each session, you willbe able to express your creativity and advance as acoder!
