COMPUTERSThe computer as we know it today had its
beginning with a 19th century English
mathematics professor name Charles
Babbage.
He designed the Analytical Engine and it
was this design that the basic framework of
the computers of today are based on.
Generally speaking, computers can be
classified into three generations. Each
generation lasted for a certain period of
time, and each gave us either a new and
CHILDREN BEFORE
COMPUTERS
Before the arrival of computer , libraries were often visited . People read more newspapers , they were more interactive , they even more friendly , they were cooperative and more understanding . The cared and loved for others .

Computer have so many advantages, With the invention of computer ,the world
is now more faster and things are becoming easier
Computer reduces the wastage of time.
Computer can give us important
information about what is happening in the world with the help of social
networking sites and other commercial sites.
WASTAGE OF TIME AND ENERGY:
Many children use computers without any positive purpose. They
play games and chat for a long period of time. It causes wastage of time
and energy. This generation is now spending more time on the social
media websites like Facebook, Twitter etc. or texting their friends all
night through smartphones which is bad for both studies and their
health. And it also has adverse effects on the social life.
IMPACT OF COMPUTERS
ON CHILDREN
The increasing amount of time children are spending on computers at
home and school has raised questions about how the use of computer
technology may make a difference in their lives—from helping with
homework to causing depression to encouraging violent behavior.
. Initial research suggests, for example, that access to computers
increases the total amount of time children spend in front of a
television or computer screen at the expense of other activities,
thereby putting them at risk for obesity.
At the same time, cognitive research suggests that playing computer
games can be an important building block to computer literacy
because it enhances children's ability to read and visualize images in
three-dimensional space and track multiple images simultaneously.
The limited evidence available also indicates that home computer use
is linked to slightly better academic performance.

Typing on the keyboard improves stimulation to brain.
Computer use, increases creative growth and artistic expression,
according to the United States Department of Commerce.
Children who have supervised computer access show greater
developmental gains in intellect, abstract thinking, dexterity and
memory capacity.
Playing video games for a short period each day could have a
positive impact on child's development, a study by Oxford University
suggests.
Granting children access to computers can actually diminish their
reading and math results, according to a new study.
Children or teens with a computer addiction can exhibit signs of
depression when away from the computer.
Teens who spend too much time playing computer games , particularly
those games with violent content ,risk having problems with aggressive
behavior, according to studies.
The National Association for the Education of Young Children notes that
the use of computer of kids under age 5 can lead to a host of behavioral
issues, such as lack of focus or problems with attention
CONCLUSION
Computers are like the two sides of a coin.
If it is used for the good, then you are in
the right side of the coin. We children
being the hopes of the future should be
wise enough to use the angel side of
computers ignoring the constant call from
the bad side. So let us all use computers,
one of the sweetest fruits of human
intelligence in the best way!
