Computing:• Much improved infrastructure which is impacting

positively on teaching & learning. – Pupil conferencing showed the children are very

enthusiastic about their use of technology in class and how it is supporting their learning.

– Teacher’s are using technology to support and enhance their cross-curricular teaching. In particular the good use of the mobile laptops (value for money).

– Use of a wide range of online resources (Education City, Espresso, Bug Club, BBC websites, E-safety websites, subject specific websites, games).

– New hardware & software has been purchased to help deliver the new curriculum scheme of work and to further develop our range of technology.

• New Scheme of work in place to deliver New Computing Curriculum– New topics are aligned with new scheme of work (some

discrete teaching for programming will be needed

E-Safety:• Ready to apply for 360 degree Safe accreditation• E-Safety Practice reflects the Policy• Strengthened partnership with parents (Hector E-Safety Bags, Safer Internet

Week) – 54 adults (38%) attended briefing sessions and workshops• Launched Hector E-Safety Bags – lots of positive feedback and also parents are

using the opportunity to raise concerns & ask questions within them• Proactive and successful E-Safety Committee – new secondary school pupil

representative & strong Governor partnership in all aspects• MB is now an E-Safety Champion for North Somerset• School Council wanted to have an E-Safety theme to the school fete so they will

now run an E-Safety stall and sell Hector biscuits• Governor & staff training• Strong E-Safety Curriculum and staff continually reinforce and model E-Safety

practice• One of few schools who use significant aspects of the year to highlight and

reinforce E-Safety throughout the year – Anti-bullying week (Cyber Bullying), Safer Internet Day – E-Safety Week, E-Safety Fete – all these are regular features of the school year.
