Keynote Speakers

MINICOURSES / KEYNOTES

Fred HuizingaasmlASML is continuously challenged by the microchip manufacturers to develop lithography machines to support their roadmap. As a result, current developments at ASML have to meet functional requirements that are expressed in subnanometer accuracy while, at the same time, the time to market has to be reduced.

Michael Brandl & Maxim Kaufmannstarkstrom augsburgFormula Student (FS) is a European educational motorsport competition that takes place with over 130 teams from 30+ countries. Each FS team constitutes a high-performance engineering project. Our simulation model of a tiny, inconspicuous part turned out to be a detail that made the difference.

Stephan GillichintelCompanies of all sizes are looking for increased innovation, shorter time to market, and reduced costs for product and service development. Through simulation, engineers and designers benefit from accelerated development. We will demonstrate how the Intel® Scalable System Framework overcomes common obstacles in HPC.

Dr. Matthew Bigintonthe magstim company limitedTranscranial magnetic stimulation is typically used to explore how the brain interconnects with results that have implications for the diagnosis and treatment of multiple sclerosis, central motor disorders, and other diseases. More recently, repetitive TMS has been cleared by the FDA for the treatment of depression.

Dr. Vivek Kumar endress+hauser flowtec ag At Endress+Hauser (E+H) Flowtec, numerical simulations have been regularly applied to simulate and predict the behavior of flow meters under various conditions. In this presentation, an overview to the role of COMSOL Multiphysics® simulations in product development is shown.
