Introduction• El Electrochorro Ecuatorial (EEJ) es un “dispersor” de ondas
electromagnéticas muy eficiente• El EEJ puede ser utilizado para circuitos de comunicaciones
(Cohen and Bowles, 1963; Romero et al. 1968; and Valladaresand Woodman, 1975)
• Esto abre la posibilidad de utilizar portadoras VHF (y otras) para comunicaciones punto a punto más allá del horizonte.

• Several VHF-communication experiments have been conducted using the Jicamarca-Paracas radio link. During these experiments, the JRO’s50 MHz radar was used to perform simultaneous EEJ observations.
• There is a good level of agreement between the quality of voice; and radar; and magnetometer data
• Counter EEJ communications have been also tested during the experiments. Higher quality of voice than EEJ?
• The modulating media inserts some cracks to the signal, that are not removed after demodulation
• Does Doppler velocity modifies the performance? Future research• The simulation program gives us a good representation of the radio
link. It can be used for testing different configurations as Time Diversity, RX diversity, etc.
