The lid of the pressure meter features a smooth sloped top so water and concrete wipes right off. By eliminating the cavities in the lid that trap and hold concrete, maintenance and repair problems are greatly reduced. The meter’s handles not only make it easier to carry, they also help to eliminate the maintenance problems caused by carrying the meter by its gauge. The density of hardened concrete specimens such as cylinders and cubes can be quickly and accurately determined using the ELE Buoyancy Balance.

The system consists of a heavy-duty support frame, incorporating a water tank mounted on a platform. A mechanical lifting device is used to raise the water tank and immerse the specimen suspended below the balance system.

The Pundit Lab is an ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) test instrument which is used to

set, making it particularly suitable for on-site measurements. Naturally it contains all of the features of the Pundit Lab. The new functions include, an integrated gain stage making an external amplifier unnecessary when using long cables or exponential transducers, a real time stamp for recording the time of measurement, a data review list that allows previous measurements to be viewed on site, and a correlation to compressive strength either directly from pulse velocity or in combination with a rebound value (SONREB method).

The Pundit Lab is an ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) test instrument which is used to examine the quality of concrete. It features online data acquisition, waveform analysis and full remote control of all transmission parameters. Along with the traditional transit time and pulse velocity measurement, the ultrasonic test equipment Pundit Lab offers path length measurement, perpendicular crack depth measurement and surface velocity measurement. Optimized pulse shaping gives greater transmission range at lower voltage levels. This, coupled with automated combination of the transmitter voltage and the receiver gain, ensures an optimum received signal level, guaranteeing accurate and stable measurements. An integrated waveform display allows manual triggering of the received waveform.

Non-Destructive TestingProVista is an application program of the Profometer cover meter that allows the visualizing and editing of records. The function of this utility program is the transfer of the data measured with the cover meter to the PC.

A pull off tester is indispensable for the diagnosis of building structure damages as well as for checking complete renovation work. The Dyna pull off tester is used to determine the surface strength of concrete and other materials testing it directly on the component allowing the use of any measuring point. Additionally, the Dyna pull off tester can be used for the measuring of the adhesive strength of applied coatings such as plastic coatings, concrete coats, and mortars and plasters. This mobile pull off tester allows testing on any point of a structure without having to install test devices prior to the casting of concrete.

Resipod is a fully integrated 4-point Wenner probe, designed to measure the electrical resistivity of concrete in a completely non-destructive test. It is the most accurate instrument available, extremely fast and stable and packaged in a robust, waterproof housing designed to operate in a demanding site environment. The Resipod is the successor of the classic CNS Farnell Resistivity Meter.

Surface resistivity measurement provides extremely useful information about the state of a concrete structure. The calcium chloride vapor emission test was developed over 40 years ago to quantify the volume of water vapor radiating from a concrete slab surface over time. This test is directly specified by the vast majority of the Floor Covering Industry as the primary measure of moisture acceptability for floor covering installation.

Use this test to model the amount of moisture that emits from 1,000 square feet of slab surface in 24 hours. The result is expressed as “pounds” which is the equivalent weight of water, emitted as vapor, over 1,000 square feet in 24 hours. Use this result to compare to Manufacturer’s specifications for floor covering or coating tolerances. Always reference a copy of the Manufacturer’s specifications when reporting results using this test.

The Rapid Freeze-Thaw Cabinet is used to measure the resistance of concrete to deterioration caused by repeated cycles of freezing and thawing in water. The system is designed to test up to eighteen 3” x 4” x 16” (76 x 102 x 406cm) concrete specimens simultaneously, with one being a control. Key features of system include:

This model is a factory production model with a fast and efficient mixing action achieved by the pan being driven and the aggregates turning the revolving star blade.

Three fixed paddle blades balance the flow of material into a defined path creating a forced mixing action, and the side scraper blade prevents the material building-up on the side of the pan, and also diverts the mix back into the flow of material. Drive to the pan only commences when the mixing head is introduced into the pan, but the drive is controlled to start prior to the blades touching the material.

Capping compound is used during sample preparation for compressive strength testing by creating a totally flat parallel surface and adhering in its liquid-viscous state to cover all imperfections or rough surfaces. Once returned to a solid state its compressive strength increases. In about 2 hours a 2 in (51 mm) cube breaks at 8,000 psi to 9,000 psi (55.16 to 62.05 MPa); you can use it on concrete with strength up to 16,000 psi (110.32 MPa) with confidence.
