What is a condition report?
A condition report is the review of a lot by the
auction house. It is a report outlining the opinion of
the auctioneer regarding the condition of the item /
items.

We take a detailed look at any aesthetic
damage; including cracks, chips, marks to
pottery or glass, tears or holes in paintings, and
scratches or marks to furniture. These blemishes
are often fairly obvious, and we endeavour to
point them out where we can.

faults; including crazing to
pottery, as well as foxing and
light staining to pictures.

person. Condition reports are just guidelines, so if
you have specific requirements, make sure you
evaluate your lot properly before purchasing.
