Integrated Offshore EngineeringMarcel Veldhuizen, Intergraph

Integrated projects require integrated solutions. Today, almost all companies face some challenges when working in integrated environments. It could be as simple as different 3D disciplines using different software for modelling that are not compatible, resulting in a loss of information/data in translation, or to ensure the consistency of data in the integration of 2D and 3D tools. This session will highlight Intergraph solutions for integration between different 3D disciplines, as well as 2D and 3D tools, and how you can maintain consistent data while improving engineering and design quality.

Why Rekadaya Elektrika Chooses SmartPlant 3DAndri, PT. Rekadaya Elektrika

After a comprehensive evaluation of the available solutions in the market, PT. Rekadaya Elektrika chose SmartPlant 3D for detailed design. The decision was based on a set of evaluation criteria that the company had when deciding on a solution, and it decided that SmartPlant 3D was the best. This session will give an overview on PT. Rekadaya Elektrika’s background, and cover its selection process of SmartPlant 3D as the most suitable 3D design solution for the company.

Legacy Data and 3D InteroperabilityLuther Walke, Intergraph

Today’s capital projects are larger and involve more players than those of the past. Even so, they must be completed at lower cost, with fewer errors, and according to a tighter schedule. It is an increasingly complex environment where designers, engineers, and managers must be able to quickly access the 3D data they need to see regardless of the source. This session will provide an overview of the rich array of translation and interoperability tools available for ensuring Smart 3D projects are fully up to the task.

Smart 3D IntegrationLuther Walke, Intergraph

Smart 3D was designed from the ground up to work well within the ecosystem of various tools and data formats being used on modern complex engineering projects. Whether it is object-based programming interface, industry-standard databases, or support for multiple graphics formats, Smart 3D has strong capabilities to integrate with other tools. This session will focus on three major workflows demonstrating integration functionality delivered out-of-the-box in Smart 3D. These workflows include pipe stress analysis using CAESAR II®, structure/concrete detailing, and brownfield project support through point cloud integration with Leica Cloudworx™.

Brownfield Design Base Capture and Maintenance Daryl Schroeder and Ray Howarth, Intergraph

As the cost of laser scanning decreases and the speed of scanning increases, owner operators are increasingly adopting this technology as part of a strategy to capture the design base of brownfield facilities. This session will show how laser scans can be intelligently integrated with the rest of the engineering design base, and how complementary technologies can create structured information from legacy unstructured documentation. Real-world examples where this technology has been adopted will be highlighted in this session. Once the engineering design base has been established, it is important that changes are properly managed to demonstrate compliance for regulatory authorities, and changes to the engineering design base are reflected in associated systems such as CMMS, reliability, and inspection systems. This session will also cover Intergraph’s solutions to support change.

Leica Geosystems Solutions for Intergraph Process, Power & Marine Faheem Khan, Leica Geosystems

Leica Geosystems is one the world’s largest supplier of geospatial technology products, delivering trusted solutions supporting front-end design, ongoing construction, and full asset management support. This session will explore the various types of customer deployment of geospatial technology products and demonstrates, through case studies, the benefits of using such advanced capabilities to support and validate planning, design, engineering, construction, and management activities with a strong emphasis on the latest in 3D scanning integration.

Improving the User Experience: Intergraph’s User Experience and Mobile Strategy Rick Standish, Intergraph

“Most people make the mistake of thinking design is what it looks like. People think it’s this veneer – that the designers are handed this box and told, “Make it look good!” That’s not what we think design is. It’s not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works and how people interact with it.” – Steve Jobs Intergraph has made considerable investments in user experience expertise to change our software to align more readily with enterprise work processes. This session will discuss SmartPlant Enterprise’s “user experience” strategy and demonstrate elements of this vision on mobile devices, role-based portals, and turning complex data into streamlined information.

Engineering & Schematics: Engineering and Beyond Frank Joop, Intergraph

“To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.” – Winston Churchill Intergraph is changing to improve and exceed the needs and expectations to help our customers face the challenges in the industry. This session will address three main topics: innovation and how Intergraph is bringing the new capabilities in the Engineering & Schematics solution to help your business, lower cost of ownership and the steps we are taking to make deployment easier and faster on projects, and our support and services that we offer to make sure you will be successful with our solutions. You will learn about the improvements of our engineering solutions beyond what is possible today.

Energising Your Electrical Design Ronnie Moss, Intergraph

This session will feature SmartPlant Engineering & Schematics solutions, with a focus on SmartPlant Electrical. SmartPlant Engineering & Schematics solutions contribute significantly toward the bottom line for EPCs and plant owners, delivering improved safety, design quality, and productivity, resulting in reduced execution and operational risks. In this session, you will learn more about the unique capabilities of SmartPlant Engineering & Schematics solutions, such as rules and connectivity-driven design that support the work processes for all parties involved, yielding true business benefits.

Making the Right Decision Early Frank Joop, Intergraph

Making changes late in the project cycle is high-risk and often very costly. How can you address this risk while also driving quality and consistency in the engineering design? This session will introduce SmartPlant P&ID Engineering Integrity, which allows you to enforce engineering, safety, and operational practices early on in the design. See how experience can be captured and applied to projects across the company. This is a game-changing solution that is innovative and has a very clear value proposition. In this session, learn how to make the right decisions early and reduce the risk of late changes, compromises, and increase the overall design quality on your projects.

Smart Project Execution with Engineering & Schematics Ronnie Moss, Intergraph

Consistency of data across multiple disciplines is the minimum requirement for today’s mega projects. Strategising upfront for sharing data effectively is the key to a successful project. A few simple guidelines make all the difference between getting it right for a smart, effective project execution, and getting it wrong where it could cost millions and long delays. In this session, learn about the guidelines and strategies to make this important task easy, and the tools to help you get it right the first time.
