The Brighton Savoy is a unique venue in the Bayside area, offering conference and function facilities for a wide variety of events. The Brighton Savoy continues to move with the market and remains flexible to accommodate our guest’s needs.
With sixty four-star suites, four main conference rooms and a number of smaller syndicate meeting rooms, The Brighton Savoy is equipped to professionally handle a wide range of events. The original structure on this site was built in 1909 and was run as a guesthouse in a time when Brighton was seen as a seaside holiday spot for Victorians. It continued with the holiday market until the 1940’s when it became the official boarding house for St Leonard’s Girls School. In the 1950’s it again reverted to a private guest house. In 1959, with permits for extension, The Brighton Savoy became a motel with function rooms and was the toast of the town, holding such events as the first Logie awards.
In 1967 the property was purchased by the Lee family who remain the current owners. In 1987 the property adjacent to the hotel was purchased with the plan to extend. These extensions were completed in 1997. This added The Seaview Restaurant, a new reception, Port Phillip Room, seventeen additional suites and two levels of undercover parking. We commence 2019 with a total upgrade of all event spaces and accommodation suites. Our stable management and long term experience in an ever-changing industry, enables us to add value to hosting and planning of your next event.
